the Everyman Photo Contest

The Everyman believes that anyone who has ever taken pictures in their life, has taken good pictures. One of the primary differences between professionals and non-professionals is how reliably they can get the good shot. because, photography, like any art, is meant to capture a moment, convey a feeling, tell a story, it is erroneous to believe that in order for a photo to be effective or artistic it must have formal composition, ideal lighting or, and most importantly, be taken by a professional.

hree photos will be selected from each of the following categories:
1. black & white
2. landscape/nature
3. people/portrait
4. travel/architecture
5. macro/abstract
6. from the attic (returning bonus category. see below description for details.)

and the prizes will go as such.
First Place: $50.00
Second Place: $30.00
Third Place: $20.00

and, one photo will be awarded the distinguished:
buddy james best title award


ubmissions are due by Monday October 2, 2006 @ midnight CST.

The entries will be made available for viewing on Wednesday November 1, 2006.

Results will be announced on Friday December 1, 2006.

Prize money will be sent by December 15, 2006 to the address provided at the time of submission, just in time for the holidays.
