IEA Student Essay Competition 2006

THE COMPETITION IS OPEN TO STUDENTS AGED 18 OR UNDER

The following two quotations are attributed to Nobel Prize Winner in Economics Milton Friedman. Comment on either one in 1,500 words or less with reference to at least three examples:“The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem”“There's no such thing as a free lunch” Entries must be submitted by February 28th 2006, by email to cblundell@iea.org.uk or by post to Christine Blundell, IEA, 2 Lord North Street, London SW1P 3LB. Please include your name, the name of your school and your date of birth on a separate sheet.
